I also thought Raging Bull was boring as shit.

Last night I rewatched the Ultimate Cut of Watchmen....2009 movie, not the craptastic HBO series.

All in all, I quite like it.   Rorschach and Comedian are excellent.....Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, and Dr. Manhattan are all right, and the only real whiff for me was Ozymandias.  Who the hell decided to cast that scrawny guy with a weak chin as the supposed Greek god come to life?  Terrible casting.   Wish someone like Brad Pitt could have done it.

Yeah, they changed the squid at the end to be Dr. Manhattan instead.   I get why they did it.  It was easier for the normies to understand I guess.

They must have spent a fortune getting the music rights.   Really solid soundtrack, very similar to Forrest Gump.

Also, as uneven as the movie is, the opening title sequence set to Dylan is probably one of my favorite title sequences of ALL TIME.

Just for fun, here's another one of my favorite title sequences ever.   From Gaspar Noe's Enter the Void.   Warning.....this movie is SHIT.  Absolute shit.   Don't bother with the movie.  The only flicker of brilliance is this title sequence.

Gaspar Noe’s movies are an experience. They might make you feel ill but you have to watch them. Similar to taking psychedelic drugs.

Enter the Void is the best since Pulp Fiction. Tibetan book of the Dead is right on the money.

Never Let Me Go also has merits. Everything else has been terrible.

Everyone can have their opinions of course, but Enter the Void fucking suuuuuuucks.  I doubt any sane person could get through it.

You obviously don't appreciate a good bit of domestic violence.

I love that film.

Only a true master in the art of cinema could show a penis from the perspective of inside a vagina.

It was like Kubrick porn.

The Love Motel section was the most artful extended sex scene since the Mask Party in Eyes Wide Shut.

That was a stand out scene. It’s like 2001 you remember the monolith monkey scenes but the baby in space stuff at the end you have go back to. But Enter the Void affected me. I was sad but I got it. Despite the pain it doesn’t matter and that’s okay.  But it’s a feeling not an idea.

You gotta do better than fucking your friend's mom if you want to get further in the next life. Powerful stuff.

I misinterpreted it to mean life was a void but really it’s a “Maybe you’ll do better next time, punk.” kind of thing. When reborn do they remember what happened or do you just get an F and change it to a B before you get home?

HAL Is creepy but now his two sister Alexa and Siri want us to tell them everything. Humans have had their hoagie dip, it’s all over. If I watch 2001, Minority and Under the Skin I’d probably be in a dark place. All movies come true.
