How do you separate life stages?

Recommended Posts

Like, for myself it's something like:

0-2: Baby
2-4:: Toddler
4-7:  Child
8-11: Preteen
12-17: Teenager
18-25: Post Teens
26-35: Young Adult
36-44: Early Middle Age
45-59: Middle Age

60-67: Late Middle Age

68-79: Old

80+: Really Old

I have a sense that adolescence seems to last longer these days. People aren’t really growing up until they are 40-50.

Gen X are going Crue shows at 45, Boomers are dropping acid at 75 and riding harleys. That kind of thing.

Life is just high school with money for most people. Everyone is eternally 26. It seems.

I think it's basic of young or old and by that when you are too old to do things.  30 seems a good turning point.

Maslow's hierarchy of needs. There's a point where you stop challenging yourself.

Today. Tomorrow. Yesterday.

Animated. No longer animated.

I’m going for one line. Hope and post-hope.

Maybe there’s a pre-hope when you don’t know enough to have or lose hope. You’re stamping on ants and living on sugar and crayons. Then maybe there’s a Bob Hope stage where just wearing a white suit is enough.

I’m willing to bet that everyone has a pre-hope and a hope stage (however momentary) and a post-hope eventually. The only way to beat the system is to die with hope. That would be the one line scenario.

Post Bob Hope your consciousness could reboot in another body. It would be cool

if a dead celebrity gives you a team talk before you go in for the next round. Which of course you forget because that would cheat fear of it’s advantage in the game.
