From the Don't-Let-Axl's-Lawyers-Know-About-This dept: "Nightrain" music bar to open in Bradford, UK

Recommended Posts

If I was to open a bar named Nightrain I surely wouldn't be giving any interviews about it.

Specially to a "Local Democracy Reporter"

BRADFORD’S live music scene could soon by flyin’ like an aeroplane when a new live music venue and bar opens in the city centre. (...) It will be called Nightrain, named after the Guns n’ Roses classic.

Bradford is a shit-hole.

Do you think that GUNS N' ROSES frontman W. Axl Rose will take that in consideration before doing anything?

I wonder if GUNS N' ROSES frontman W. Axl Rose will issue a press release via his attorneys?

Like this one ?

I wonder if  Guns N' Roses guitar player Saul 'Slash' Hudson and Guns N' Roses bassist and New York Times bestselling author Michael 'Duff' McKagan will have quotes on it?

I think the wine trademark with (two 't's) is probably still owned by the wine company and not GN'R.

Brand Battles: Guns N' Roses vs. The Oskar Blues Brewery!

BRASÍLIA, BRZ (March 31, 2019, 6:13 PM EDT) -- Legendary rock brand/band Guns N’ Roses has filed a trademark opposition against Oskar Blues Brewery over a rosé-style ale (beer) called “Guns N Rosé.”

Oskar Blues, best known for Dale's Pale Ale, launched the beer last year. According to its own website, The Oskar Blues Brewery has been "disrupting The Status Quo Since 2002".

The beer is an "Ale brewed with hibiscus and prickly pear" and has been described by experts as “A super-light beer with a faint berry-like character that has drinkability for a hot day.”

Another expert said that "it is no 'Sweet Child of Mine', but a new beer coming from Oskar Blues Brewery will have fans singing just the same."

The experts have not said a word if the "rosy" color of the beer is a "reference/homage" to legendary Guns n' Roses owner, visionary leader Axl Rose's hair's color.

According to a serie of tweets by Law360 reporter Bill Donahue, Oskar Blues has applied to register the name "Guns N Rosé" as a trademark.

Mr Donohaue tweeted that "Oskar Blue is represented by a very legit BigLaw firm who one would think would advise against this"

The trademark opposition against Oskar Blues Brewery has 108 pages and can be read in full here:

It says, among other things, that "At least one of the individual partners of Guns n' Roses" intends to expand his musical career into the alcoholic beverage category"
