The Vintage Video Game Thread.

Recommended Posts

I'm a big fan of retro gaming. Myself, I got a Sega Genesis for my birthday in 1994 and became a lifelong Sonic fanatic. I got a SNES in 96 or 97 but never had much use for it outside of Donkey Kong. I got a PS1 for Christmas 1998 and an N64 the next year. I don't really tend to like newer games, but I do enjoy classic vintage games on all consoles.

What are your favorite systems of all time?
Favorite vintage games (let's call a "vintage" game one made before 2000)?
Do you still own any retro consoles or play any?

I was too busy playing sports, partying and getting laid to spend too much time playing video games.

But my best friend and I would put on video game tournaments during the summer. $5 a kid and we would have 10-15 kids show up. Winner got half the pot, we got the other half.

I am not dissing video games. So you gaming lovers can chill out with your backlash. Spend your free time however makes you happy.  It just isn’t my thing. Just like playing basketball or going hiking or fishing might not be enjoyable to you. We all love what a love.

I played Atari and had C64 then AFD came out. I emerged in 2000 something with an Xbox 360. Which I think is the pinnacle of consoles. I had Dreamcast late 90s I think. Only two games. Shadowman was cool.

I play Double Dragon and Pac man still. Those Sega classics. I remember games like Pitfall and going to arcades to play Defender and Ms Pacman.

LED Storm was a classic in C64. Conan the Barbarian. Hawkeye.

GTA and Doom were early 90s games on a PC. But I never played much.

Donkey Kong Country 1 or 2? I always have trouble picking between them. The third one succckedddd.

Smash on 64 was a great game.

Also, Die Hard Trilogy on PS1 was the shit. Also the Phantom Menace game on PS1 too cause you could literally go around slaughtering everyone in sight GTA style, even children
