I’ve always considered The Garden one of their best songs. The arrangement is brilliant: stripped down verses that are right on the edge of trippy and dark, then the chorus gets dark with a slide guitar that is fucking brilliant plus a mean guitar solo. I always felt this song was about a psychedelic trip gone wrong, or that’s the vibe I get from it. Oh My God is a fucking great tune too. Mean angry lyrics, groovy bridge, heavy all over, speedy verses... the last we got of angry Axl. This song deserved a proper release.
