The funniest thing is how he does objectively more difficult songs with ACDC at an objectively stronger level of performance with objectively less time for breaks and fat breathing.

My brother, the one who introduced me to GnR and refused to go with me to the axl/dc show, the same way he refused to attend the 2006 and 2010 shows asked me to go with him to the 2017 show.

I told him that he will see the worst show of all he could have seen from GnR, he told me Im crazy because they are together again and more friends than ever.

I told him that money talks and showed some of the mickey disasters of the last SA leg.

He said Axl sounds great.

I rested my case.

Typical Slash blind fan.

He did some drugs to sing for acdc.

He just dont want to keep doing it in long term for gnr.

I respect that.

Axl can't fake the passion with GNR. In AC/DC he is living out a teenage fantasy. It's the perfect opportunity for a singer once famous for wearing shorts that emphasize BALL SIZE to sing about the BIGGEST BALLS OF THEM ALL!

They should do everyone one at least once next year... There are enough shows to play a couple a night from this list...

What cardi said, although there is a chance for IRS and SOD and maybe Mama Kin or Perfect Crime and Prostitute

Locomotive would be rad, but i don't see it happening any time

for some reason i just can't picture slash playing sod

mama kin and prostitute are VERY slight maybes

irs hasn't been played since like 2010 and the only good part of the song is neutered live

SOD was played until the threeunion. it's inevitable

I have a gut feeling that we will see a joint Aerosmith/GNR tour in the future. Therefore Mama Kin is possible. Even Axl played it once in 2012

IRS will be a random performance and Axl will Mickey the shit out of it but scream the fuck out of his lungs during the good part

Prostitute is very slim, but Axl like to fuck with his fanbase, therefore he will perform it instead of a good classic song, just to piss oldtimers off

If Izzy would be here, then 14 years and Dust n' Bones will be played at every show. other than these songs, i don't think anything has the slightest chance to being played

The rumor was that Steven Tyler was actually going to join GNR on stage and sing Mama Kin with Axl. When it turned out Tyler couldn't make it, Axl just decided to go along with it anyway.

It's funny because that's pretty much the opposite of how live performances of that song have gone.

He sounds good and angry during the verses, then he compensates during the high note. He's never once gone for the full note in that "TRUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEE" part.

Yup, that was my line of thinking

If i remember correctly, Finck came on stage to play Better and Brain also came out to play bongos, right?

It must have been a decent show

Yeah, and it was one of Axl's stronger post-2010 shows. I still go back to that Better performance every so often as it's easily the best version they ever did of it.

In 2006 he couldn't sing it properly, and in 2009-14 he had terrible shit DJ playing guitar. Robin returning for that one performance created the optimal live Better. If only he'd gotten to do his TIL solo too..

I love that performance, I go back to it as well. But it's not the best. Download was the best. Axl was too angry and was acting out so he just stood there and gave the best ever vocal performance of Better.

Song starts at the 1:39 mark.
