Lord Henry Mountcharles, Slane Castle owner said a while back he was in negotiations to secure a "Massive" Rock Band for Slane 2016.

People were speculating AC/DC but Guns seems like a strong possibility.

I love how everyone said the reunion would fill stadiums worldwide and all they're doing is Vegas arenas and festivals.

What's the upside for them to play so many festivals? Is it really just that they can't fill enormous venues on their own and Axl's ego can't take it so they have to try and fool him? He probably thought RIR was GNR only.

Hoping for Northside.. Its not that big of a festival, but we had Wu-Tang, Incubus and The Black Keys there, last year, so it could happen. Really hope so.. Would be fantastic, then again, the crowd is'nt that great.. I'm torn.. :D

There's some unconfirmed gigs missing on that list João ... something like everywhere, except vegas and coachella.

Well festival attendance go from 30,000 to 150,000 on average. What's the problem?

Can't wait for Axl to retire, because it would kill the forums instantly

You do realize that nobody is making you visit the forums, right? All you have to do is 'remove the sites from your favorites bar' and you'll never have to see them again.

Correct if I'm wrong (and not that it applies to this situation), but don't bands normally do the whole festival thing before a stadium tour? It's much better promotion, mostly because of the TV spots they bring. It makes sense to do the festivals first, and the tour after. I'd imagine the tour, if there is one, will be mostly big arenas with some stadiums scattered in the really big cities, and Brazil.

If I'm a promoter, I want to see how these first couple shows go.

If Axl makes a festival crowd wait 2 hours, I'll know nothing has changed and might be less likely to want to be part of it.
