Brazilian Nanny Behind the scenes of the interview with Guns N' Roses leader Axl Rose for tomorrow's "Fantastico," the fellow journalist Alvaro Pereira, Jr. heard more Portuguese than English. It's because the 54 year-old rock star said that his life is now"totally" controlled by a Brazilian family, from Santos (SP state). The leader of the group, Ms. Beta, 58, is Axl's secretary and "nanny" for 26 years. "This Brazilian family controls my life, they whip me, they make me to do things," the singer joked. #SmilingMore #CrackingJokes #GoodMood #LessBloated The interview airs tonight and should be available on YouTube shortly thereafter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RF6YmywQ7E
"Not that any of our songs compare, but if you hear a short version of 'Layla,' I think you're gonna be pissed off, especially if you're planning on hearing the big piano part at the end. I hate the edit of 'Sweet Child o' Mine.' Radio stations said, 'Well, your vocals aren't cut.' My favorite part of the song is Slash's slow solo; it's the heaviest part for me. There's no reason for it to be missing except to create more space for commercials, so the radio-station owners can get more advertising dollars. When you get the chopped version of 'Paradise City' or half of 'Sweet Child' and 'Patience' cut, you're getting screwed." —The Rolling Stone Interview With Axl Rose Rolling Stone, August 1989
